Editorial policy
How stories are sourced, updated, and corrected.
AI Headline Hub publishes reported stories about artificial intelligence. The desk is operated by Joshua Israel Ventures LLC. A story can be added by committing one Markdown file. The sourcing rules on this page still apply to that file.
What we publish
Stories belong in one section: Models & Research, Industry & Business, Policy & Regulation, Tools & Products, or Funding. Analysis has to be identifiable in the copy. A product announcement is not rewritten as an independent test, and a company’s safety claim is not rewritten as a finding of fact.
Sourcing
- Facts that a reasonable reader would rely on need a primary source: the company, the lab, the regulator, the court, or the dataset’s publisher.
- Quotes are taken from a named, published source. The story says where the quote appeared. The desk does not invent quotations or present a vendor’s customer story as its own interview.
- Numbers, dates, prices, and access limits are copied only when the source states them. If the source is silent, the story says so.
- If a fact cannot be checked, the piece is an explainer of what is known, or it is not published.
The source list in the story’s front matter is rendered at the bottom of the page and in the NewsArticle citation metadata.
Corrections
A factual error is fixed in the article and called out in a correction note at the top of the story. The note says what changed. Send corrections from the contact page with the URL, the error, and the fix.
Small edits for grammar, or a new sentence that does not change a fact, are updates. The page shows an updated time when the updated date differs from the published date.
Conflicts
Stories are published by Joshua Israel Ventures LLC. If a story is about the publisher, or about a product the publisher sells, the copy says so in the first few paragraphs. No story on this site is an advertisement unless it is labeled as one. There are no advertisements today.
Tools and automation
A person or an automated contributor may draft a file. Either way, the published story has to meet this policy. Using a writing tool does not relax the ban on invented facts. The byline is the desk, AI Headline Hub, unless a story names a person as the author.
Takedowns
A request to unpublish needs to say what is false or unlawful and why a correction would not fix it. Copyright complaints should identify the work and the passage. The desk does not remove a story only because the subject dislikes the coverage.
